Summer Reading at the Library
Summer’s almost over, but there’s still time to pick up some summer reading at Walsh College Library. The library acquires most of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal Business Best Sellers. Many of them are also available on CD so you can listen in your car. Recent business best sellers at the Walsh Library include:
The Power of Habit, by Charles Duhigg (Print and CD)
Thinking, Fast and Slow, by Daniel Kahneman (Print and CD)
It Worked for Me, by Colin Powell (Print and CD)
Steve Jobs, by Walter Isaacson (Print and CD)
Boomerang, by Michael Lewis (Print)
Great by Choice by Jim Collins and Morten T. Hansen. (Print)
The Start-Up of You, by Reid Hoffman and Ben Casnocha (Print and CD)
Entreleadership, by Dave Ramsey (Print and CD)
The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, by Patrick Lencioni (Print)
Outliers, by Malcolm Gladwell (Print and CD)
Drive, by Daniel Pink (Print and CD)
What books are you reading this summer? I recently read Steve Jobs, by Walter Isaacson. Whether you’re into Apple products or not, this book is a fascinating story about a brilliant man who made technology accessible and beautiful, and changed the way we do many everyday tasks. You’ll get to know Jobs as a businessman, an inventor, and a somewhat eccentric personality.
