Celebrate National Library Week With Us
By: Barb Koch Category: Library

Walsh College Library will celebrate National Library Week April 15-19. The main event will take place on Thursday, April 18 at noon, when Harry Veryser will give a presentation about his new book, It Didn’t Have to be This Way. The book discusses the Austrian School of Economics and how it relates to the U.S. economy. Professor Veryser will discuss the origins of the Austrian School of Economics, where it’s been implemented, why present-day economists are studying it, and how it can prevent the boom and bust cycle from recurring.

As many of you know, Prof. Veryser is a very engaging speaker and makes economics easy to understand. He is the former Chair of Economics and Finance here at Walsh, and an instructor of economics at University of Detroit Mercy. To register for his book talk, call the library at 248-823-1254 or click here

Attendees who bring a copy of Veryser’s book can have it signed by the author. One copy of the book will also be raffled off during National Library Week. Enter the drawing at the book talk or in the library throughout the week.
