Mentoring At All Ages

Students of all ages can benefit from someone who is a little older, has more experience, and has been in their shoes before. Last Friday, I had the opportunity to participate in two events. The morning event was mock interviews with high school students in a business class. In the evening, I attended a networking event that focused on launching the Walsh College mentorship program.

Hip, Hip Hooray! I'm Graduating!

If you finished your degree in March or will be completing it in June, you will be receiving a commencement invitation in the mail soon. Keep your eyes peeled on your mailbox for an envelope with a cap in the left-hand corner. We take pride in hosting a personalized ceremony for you and your family, including a relatively small venue with good seats, live ceremony music from LaCorda, a professional photographer, a reception with refreshments, and even a free padfolio for you, your newest group of alums!

Teaching Children the Importance of Serving the Country

Back in 2008, I started an outreach program with a Detroit elementary school. Over the past nine years, we have worked with several classrooms. We have hosted several collection drives, held field trips, scheduled monthly tutoring sessions, and hold an annual toy delivery with Santa. It has made a profound impact on the school, gained the respect of school administrators, and the students have grown to love Walsh.

Graduation Information

You've submitted the graduation application by the deadline, you are almost done with your final project and close to taking your final exams. The last day of the semester rolls by and you wait anxiously for final grades to show up on WebAdvisor. Once the semester is done and you've passed your last classes, now what happens?
