Diane Western is an adjunct instructor with the Business Information Technology department. She is an Alumni of Walsh College where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems.
Diane holds a Master of Education from the University of Michigan-Flint. The program, Technology in Education Global Program, included international studies in Geneva, Switzerland along with an NGO partnership for the master program work. She partnered with an NGO in DRC Congo and achieved the design of a meaningful global educational project utilizing technology. She also created and implemented The Congo Cause (which grew out of the master program efforts), to bring awareness and education regarding the struggles of DRC along with fund raising and advocacy.
Diane's background includes consulting, web design, technical support, training, project management, writing, event planning and emcee, social media marketing, and small business start-ups. Diane spent 13 years with Electronic Data systems and Hewlett-Packard as an information analyst. She was also an e-learning consultant for online training, which included the roles of course and media developer,graphic designer, and instructional designer. Diane’s experience as an information analyst and corporate training consultant has spanned several industries and includes clients such as General Motors, Ford, Bank of America, Cardinal health, the State of Ohio, the State of California, Canada Post, as well as small business clients and non-profits. When not working, Diane enjoys music composition and performance.
