Topic Name: Sugar Blues
With the holidays and sweet season now upon us, we'll be faced with endless choices of sweet treats. Whether you're at the office or with family, those sugar-laden items will be only a few steps away. Attend and learn how to gain control of cravings without deprivation.
Presenter: Patricia Simmons-Bouey, Inforum Member since October 2011
Patricia has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 20 years. She has received training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s cutting-edge Heath coach Training Program.
During training, Patricia studied over 100 dietary theories, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts, including Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. David Katz (Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center), Dr. Walter Willett (Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University), and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
We'll start our meeting with this question: What was your favorite sweet as a kid? As an adult?
Reminders:
- Bring plenty of business cards! We typically have 20-40 attendees.
- FAQs can be found here.
- This breakfast event is free to attend. Visitors and guests can attend one Inforum event before joining Inforum.
PS – Are you a Walsh student or alumna who is also a member of Inforum? We’d like to feature you in an upcoming Walsh e-newsletter. Email me if you’re interested!
