    Awards / Honors

    Mr. Montville is a Fellow with the Security Institute (England) and was designated a Certified Protection Professional in January, 1983 by ASIS International (USA).

    Professional Activities
    On a local level he has served on the Executive Board of the Detroit Chapter of ASIS International in the capacity of Assistant Treasurer, Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice Chairman and a member of the Homeland Security Committee. In addition, he is a member of Pooling Resources in Defense of the Environment (PRIDE) and the Southfield United Police and Property Owners Reassuring Tenant Security (SUPPORTS). On the international level he is a member of The International Institute of Security and on the national level he has served as the Treasurer and Vice President of the Michigan Chapter of InfraGard. He currently serves the Michigan Chapter of InfraGard as a Board Member and ASIS International as an Assistant Regional Vice President. 

    Mr. Montville has been directly involved in security the past 33 years. His career in private security began as a contract security officer and investigator. For a brief time he left private security to serve in the public sector as a police officer. In the late 70's, he returned to the private sector where he served as a contracted assistant security manager assigned to the Michigan Refining Division of Marathon Oil Company. In 1981, he began working in the corporate offices of Nation Wide Security as the Corporate Manager of Operations. In 1984, he was promoted to Vice President of Investigations, Risk Management, and Marketing. In this capacity, he was responsible for the oversight of the investigations section, the company's risk management and the company's sales operations. In 1996 the company was sold. He and a business partner purchased the Great Lakes Region of the company. This new organization had annual revenues of approximately 19 million dollars. Mr. Montville assumed the position of President where he was responsible for the strategic planning and overall direction of the company. He was also active in the area of consulting with the Fortune 500 companies that Nation Wide Security serviced. While he served as President the company grew and continued to develop new markets. Nation Wide Security had offices in ten states, was licensed to operate in five additional states and had strategic alliances in an additional nine states. The company had annual revenues of 43+ million dollars per year. The company specialized in servicing Fortune 500 companies. In 2008 the company was rated as the 28th largest contract security firm in the United States. In September, 2008 the company was sold to a national security firm with sales of approximately 800 million dollars annually.

    After assisting with the transition of Nation Wide Security to the new company, Mr. Montville took a consulting position with Genric-USA. Genric-USA is a division of Genric Holdings, Ltd, a world wide security consulting firm located in Switzerland. Mr. Montville serves as a consultant to the company’s international clients based in the United States.
