Biography
Dr. August joined the Walsh College faculty as an adjunct professor in 1996, and became a full-time faculty member in 2010. Before joining Walsh full-time, she held a research appointment at the University of Michigan’s Center for the Education of Women. Prior to that Dr. August worked in private industry, as chief financial officer/controller in retail/wholesale and international service businesses.
Dr. August is a certified public accountant and holds a doctoral degree from the University of Michigan in Postsecondary Education. Her teaching and scholarly interests include corporate finance, and HR policy and practice that promote work-life balance and career satisfaction in the workplace.
