John Poswalk has worked recently for The Wall Street Journal. His productive relationships with Walsh College faculty as clients led to the opportunity to teach business communications in 2005. Prior to WSJ, Mr. Poswalk served as a senior manager with profit / loss accountability in trade magazine publishing for ten years. Additional professional credentials and business communications expertise include marketing communications, production management and sales. Also of significant experience and accomplishment include marketing databases and applying the Toyota Production System.
Mr. Poswalk's adjunct teaching experience includes both classroom and online instruction. At Walsh College -- while teaching undergraduate business communications in the classroom exclusively -- Mr. Poswalk has been promoted from adjunct instructor to adjunct assistant professor in 2007, then to clinical professor in 2013. He has also taught composition and technical writing at Concordia University - Ann Arbor, and Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio.
