  • Tamme Quinn Grzebyk serves as an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Business Communications at Walsh College, in Troy, Mich. She also teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the College of Business and the College of Education at Wayne State University, in Detroit. Quinn Grzebyk is a Ph.D. candidate in instructional technology in the College of Education at Wayne State University, Detroit.

    Her dissertation studies instructional designers through methods of reflection to find ways to improve the quality of designer output. Her research interests include professional development and performance improvement through reflection and self-awareness, online and mobile learning trends, professional civic-minded agency, and the ways in which communication and process methods can be applied to improve performance outcomes. Quinn Grzebyk holds a Master of Science in Management from Walsh College and a bachelor's degree in communications from Wayne State University.

     Her instructional design, performance improvement, and leadership experience span the information technology, healthcare, and consumer products industries. Prior to pursuing her doctorate, Quinn Grzebyk began VerbalWise LLC, a consulting business specializing in performance and process improvement, which she continues to manage. From 2011 to 2013, she was the manager of enterprise learning development in Troy, Mich., at CareTech Solutions, an information technology and Web products and services provider.  Previously, she worked as an information technology manager at Archway, in Taylor, Mich. She started her professional career as a technical instructor at Atlanta-based Lanier Worldwide, Inc., which is a healthcare technology company.

    In addition, Quinn Grzebyk is a member of the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD), the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE), the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), and the Walsh College Alumni Association. Ms. Grzebyk lives in Plymouth, Michigan, with her family.
