  • Dr. Gyongyi Konyu-Fogel has over 20+ years experience in business as CEO at Fortune 500 companies. She managed strategic planning, staffing, training, budgeting, compensation, quality, and stakeholder relations as senior executive at Products Exchange Co. in New York and manager of international operations at Hungarocoop Trading Co. in Europe. She was project director of business ventures and exports of medical, electrical, technical products and professional management contracts at Hungarian Optical Works and TESCO Professional Services Consulting.

    Prior to joining Walsh, Dr. Konyu-Fogel taught business at universities in Michigan, North Carolina, Maryland, West Virginia, and Minnesota. She was Vice President of Human Resources, Finance and  Business at Glenville State College and served as Assistant Academic Dean at West Virginia University Parkersburg. As Post-graduate Fellow at Lawrence Technological University, she developed management training, leadership, and cross-cultural business programs and conducted research on global mindset and leadership. She introduced business programs for adults as Department Chair of Management Studies and MBA Program Director at Salem International University and worked for ten years on various projects to internationalize business education as John Maxwell Scholar Diplomat Fellow in Washington, D.C.

    Dr. Konyu-Fogel teaches leadership, human resources management, managing total compensation, global human resource management, and MSMHR capstone at Walsh. She consults on supervising, multiple priority management, and training. She published many books and referred journal articles. As Visiting Professor in International Management and Leadership in Hungary, she researched business development, employment, and labor conditions in the EU. She also served as Salzburg Fellow on the Euro, Consultant on joint ventures in China, and Eurozentre Scholar in Cambridge, England.  

    Dr. Konyu-Fogel holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Lawrence Technological University and has a PhD, MBA, MS from West Virginia University and BS in Executive Management and International Business, College of Foreign Trade Budapest. 

    Dr. Konyu-Fogel is member of Delta Mu Delta, Sigma Beta Delta, Prentice Hall Global Portal Focus Group, Who’s Who in Business, Cambridge Who’s Who, Who’s Who in International Higher Education, Madison Who's Who, and Sterling Who's Who in Executive Education. She frequently presents at conferences and serves as panel discussant. She received numerous awards including the 2015 McGraw-Hill Publishing Award, 2013 North American Management Association Distinguished Award for Strategy, Midwest Business Administration Association Leadership Award, Program Chair Service Award, and Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs Teaching Excellence Award. She is active in the Society for Human Resource Management and Human Research Executive Board Talent Management Group.
