Dr. Konyu-Fogel has extensive experience in executive management and international business. She was senior executive at Products Exchange Co., New York, account manager and international trade representative at Hungarocoop Trading Company, project director at IBUSZ Travel, and export manager of medical equipment, electrical, technical instruments, turnkey projects, and management contracts at Hungarian Optical Works Budapest.
Dr. Konyu-Fogel has 20+ years' experience in managing global business operations, including staffing, training, compensation, employee relations, and human resource management. She has taught doctoral research seminars and served on dissertation committees at Northcentral University and California Southern University. She also taught at Bemidji State University, Lawrence Technological University, University of North Carolina at Pembroke, University of Maryland University College, Salem International University, Glenville State College, and West Virginia University. Her teaching includes global workforce management, leadership, strategic management, human resource management, international business and cross-cultural business practices.
She was Vice President of Administration, Finance, and Business at Glenville State College, Assistant Academic Dean of Instruction at West Virginia University Parkersburg, Department Chair of Management Studies & MBA Program Director, Salem International University, and Program Director, Global Leadership Center, Lawrence Technological University. She was Visiting Professor in International Leadership and Management at Janus Pannonius University, Hungary, conducted research on business conditions in the EU and Eastern Europe, was Salzburg Fellow on the Euro and Its Implications to the World, Salzburg, Austria, consultant on Joint Ventures in China and Management Training, International Management Development Center, University of Pittsburgh. As John Maxwell Scholar Diplomat Fellow in Washington, D.C., she worked on global projects internationalizing business education for ten years and was a Eurocentres Scholar in Cambridge, England.
Dr. Konyu-Fogel has authored six books and over two dozen articles in refereed journals and proceedings. She frequently presents at international and national conferences and has served as session chair, panel discussant, paper reviewer, and program director. She is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Global Economy Quarterly and member of the Prentice Hall Global Portal Focus Group on International Business. She received the 2013 North American Management Association Distinguished Paper Award for Strategy, 2012 Distinguished Paper Award on Conference Theme, Midwest Business Administration Association Leadership Award, Academy of Business Economics Program Chair Service Award, and 2001 Regional Teaching Excellence Award, Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs. She is member of the Detroit Chapter of Society of Human Resource Management and Walsh College HR Affinity Group.
