Family Business Breakfast
Please join us Thursday, October 7, 2010, 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. for the Fourth Biennial Family Business Breakfast at Walsh College.
In past years the Family Business Breakfast at Walsh College has featured:
  2004 - Next Generation: Florine Mark, Weight Watchers; Bill Roney, Roney & Co. and Keith Crain, Crain Communications talked about passing along the family legacy.
  2006 - Succession Planning: Experts from Foster, Swift, Collins & Smith and Derderian, Kann, Seyferth & Salucci offered the nuts and bolts of passing the business to next generation.
  2008 - Couples Working Together: Family Business Psychologist Mary Whiteside led a panel discussion of couples who own and run a business together.
This year's breakfast will cover the issues of siblings, cousins, steps, and other family relationships in owning and managing a family business, including the managing and transferring of wealth. Along with a panel of family members of family businesses, breakout sessions will offer a closer look at resolving some of these issues.
Tickets are free for members, $45 for alumni and partners and $90 for all others.

The Franchising Forum was held October 1, 2009 at the Novi Campus. It was a great opportunity for individual thinking of starting a business learn about the advantages of franchising from the experts and from practioners themselves. Sponsored by WWJ Newsradio 950.
