Information for Administrators

As a school administrator, you word hard to stay on top of trends in your profession.  Continuing education classes, professional associations and networking help you keep current.

Another source of information is the Internet.  Through web sites hosted by your professional associations, nonprofit organizations, and this institution, you can find the information you need for yourself, your teachers and the students entrusted into your care.

Information for Teachers

The Internet can be a great classroom teaching tool.  Through the Internet, professionals such as you, have access to a much broader variety of teaching materials than ever before.

Likewise, your students now have a whole world open up to them.  And that includes information about things they don’t need to see.  As a teacher, you play an important role in educating your students on appropriate use of the Internet.

Just as you instruct them on appropriate classroom behavior – no shoving, name calling, copying another’s work – you can help them learn the smart way to use the Internet.

Fortunately, help is available.  There are a variety of Internet sites dedicated to providing educators with good information.  On line you can find recommended lesson plans for teaching safe and ethical use of the Internet.
