This site provides free downloadable lesson plans.  According to their website, the CyberSmart curriculum is currently used in over 250,000 classrooms throughout the United States.  Their curriculum focuses safe Internet use, practical research use of the Internet and ethical issues (copyright infringement)

This site is hosted by the National School Board Foundation and provides a comprehensive report on on-line safety issues.  This is a good primer on all the issues involved in on-line safety.

This site provides links to other sites for information in the areas of Internet Safety.  Here you will find information on federal laws regarding children’s online safety, acceptable use policies, web filtering, content management and Internet rating systems.   The Consortium for School Networking is a non-profit association that promotes the use of technology to facilitate learning in the K-12 environment.  Members of the consortium include state departments of education, school districts, schools, individuals and companies that are committed their goals.  This site is funded through corporate sponsorship.  However, according to their site, CoSN has sole editorial control over their material.

This is a commercial site operated by Scholastic, a children’s book publisher.  This site has a lot of good resources for teachers and administrators.  There are lesson plans by grade level, ideas for new teachers, tips on how to integrate technology into the classroom and more.

ThinkQuest is sponsored by the Oracle Education Foundation which sponsors website building competitions.  Sites are created by teams of students and teachers.

This is the site for Junior Achievement (JA).  They have many resources for teachers and administrators including lesson plans and links to other kid-friendly sites.  For example, one of their links is to a site that teaches children about banking.

This is another JA site that is well worth mentioning.  They have developed a curriculum called Excellence Through Ethics.  Everyday ethical situations are presented on an age-appropriate level.
