Teaching Internet Safety in the Classroom

As teaching professionals, you know that more and more demands are being placed on you.  You’re no longer responsible for teaching just academic subjects and supervising extracurricular activities.

As a teacher it is your responsibility to note and report any signs of physical abuse on a student or dangerous or threatening behavior by or towards another student.

In the area of Internet safety, you have the opportunity to be proactive in looking out for the welfare of your students.  You have the opportunity to help them learn skills to enjoy the good things the Internet has to offer and stay safe.

Once again, we invite you to take a look at some of the resources on this site.  We have suggested exercises for teaching Internet safety as well as links to other resources.
