In the celebration of Valentine’s Day, Walsh College alumni share how they found love at Walsh College.
Jennifer (Derr), BAC ‘98 and Anthony Podsiadlik, BAC ‘98
Jennifer and Tony met in Business Communications class taught by Julie Falk. They continued to take some classes together but didn’t start dating until after graduation. They married on September 8, 2000.
Today, Jennifer stays home with their three children but continues to keep up her CPA license registered status. Tony worked in public accounting for almost 12 years and now works for the IRS in the Large Business and International division as a Revenue Agent, where he has been employed for over three years.
Rebecca (Geisler), BBA ’04, MBA ‘07 and Kevin Hepner, BBA ’02, MBA ‘09
Rebecca and Kevin met in an International Business class on India taught by Atul Sheth. On a class field trip to an Indian restaurant, Kevin and Rebecca made a connection and started dating a year later. They married on September 20, 2013 on Mackinac Island.
Today, Rebecca works for the Salvation Army as a Major Gifts and Planned Giving Officer. Kevin works for Ameriprise Financial where he is a Financial Advisor.
