Michigan Alpha Project

Michigan Alpha Project

The Michigan Alpha Project is a real-world investing experience offered to Walsh College students. The project was started by Leon LaBrecque of LJPR, LLC in partnership with professor John Moore and Walsh College. LaBrecque has provided $100,000 of his own finances to make this opportunity possible. The students are responsible for managing the money in a portfolio consisting exclusively of Michigan stocks.

“This is a win for students, a win for employers, and a win for Michigan.”
- John Moore, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Finance and Economics
