Troy, Michigan, October 1, 2008 – Walsh College’s new ad campaign is materializing on the backs of 10,000 students, employees, and alumni.
Each received free T-shirts with the Walsh logo and the campaign’s tagline: “Live. Breathe. Business.”
“We’ve created living, breathing advertisers out of the wearers, who become ‘10,000 bits of Walsh’, said John Lichtenberg, vice president and chief marketing & enrollment officer.
The T-shirts build loyalty, drive grassroots brand awareness, and stimulate word of mouth referrals. “By a large margin, referrals are the number one source for new students,” Lichtenberg added.
The yellow legal pad – a familiar classroom staple – is liberally used in the campaign that’s being launched on TV, radio, print, online, billboards, and the newly designed Walsh Web site.
Perich Advertising + Design of Ann Arbor created the campaign and completely revamped Walsh College’s brand positioning.
In research leading up to the campaign, Perich discovered that what separates Walsh College from other area schools is how seriously Walsh takes the subject of business.
“It is the only thing they teach,” said Perich President and Creative Director Ernie Perich. “As a result, Walsh College also tends to attract serious students.”
