Thursday, June 01, 2017 - Walsh College Elects Shaniece Bennett and Kevin Hepner to the Foundation Board of Directors

The Walsh College Board of Trustees has elected Shaniece Bennett and Kevin Hepner to three-year terms as members of the Walsh College Foundation Board of Directors.

Shaniece BennettEstablished in 2004, the Walsh College Foundation Board of Directors serves as the official fundraising arm of the college. The Foundation encourages private giving and ensures the integrity of the college’s philanthropy program.

Walsh alumni comprise 72 percent of the 25 member Foundation Board of Directors. It is staffed by employees of the college and is led by volunteers who are business, industry, and community leaders.

 Bennett is the owner of Accutrak Consulting and Accounting Services PLLC in Chesterfield Township. As a certified public accountant, Bennett has fifteen years of experience in accounting and financial analysis and is also a member of the Michigan Association of CPAs. She is also a faculty member for Goldman Sachs 10K Small Business at Oakland County Community College, a member of the National Association of Black Accountants and is involved with the Junior League of Detroit. Bennett earned her MBA from Walsh College in 2004.

Hepner is a financial advisor for TruVista Wealth Advisors. He has more than 16 years of experience in his field and was named a FIVE STAR Wealth Manager in 2015-16. Hepner was a member of Ameriprise Financial’s Annuity Coalition from 2011-2016, where he collaborated with his peers on financial products and strategies. He is also active in his community, volunteering for Focus: HOPE, The Salvation Army, and The Greening of Detroit. He earned an MBA in International Business from Walsh College in 2009 and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Walsh College in 2002.
