Gordon Advisors Establishes Endowed Scholarship at Walsh College
Walsh College is proud to announce the establishment of the Gordon Advisors Endowed Scholarship Fund. This scholarship was funded with the generous support of Troy-based Gordon Advisors in Troy, Mich., as part of the College’s Driving Aspirations Campaign. This Driving Aspirations Campaign provides funding for scholarships, the Blackstone Launch Pad (a program to teach students and alumni how to be entrepreneurs) and a new, highly sophisticated Finance Lab.
The Gordon Advisors donation provides scholarship funds in perpetuity to Walsh College accounting students who maintain a 2.75 GPA and meet other qualifying criteria. This scholarship is available to both undergraduate and graduate students attending Walsh College.
The endowed scholarship joins the list of 13 scholarships for Walsh accounting students.
“This endowment demonstrates that Gordon Advisors believes in the quality of Walsh students, and realizes a positive return on their investment that benefits their practice and our community,” said Audrey Olmstead, vice president and chief development officer at Walsh College.
Gordon Advisors has been a financial supporter of Walsh College since the firm created an annual scholarship in 2000, and is recognized at the Patron Level of the College’s Mervyn B. Walsh Society. In addition, Gordon Advisors currently employs 16 Walsh alumni, establishing a mutually beneficial partnership with Walsh.
