Walsh College’s International Day celebrates diversity by incorporating educational initiatives on different cultures and traditions while introducing international music and cuisine. Attendees will have the chance to network, win prizes, dance, and sample foods from around the world. During the event, future students can also learn more about Walsh College admissions and academic programs, meet with an advisor, and have their application fee waived. Guests are encouraged to wear cultural attire.
The event is sponsored by Walsh’s International Student Organization (ISO), one of the most active student groups on campus. “Our International Student Organization is comprised of the absolute best international students in the world,” explains international student advisor, Liesl Scullen. “They hold many social and community events which are open to everyone. The ISO is a great way for new students to connect with their peers here at Walsh.”
Walsh College is a member of many international chambers including the Asian Pacific American Chamber, Chaldean American Chamber, Lebanese American Chamber, and the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
International Day is a free event. For more information and to register, please visit walshcollege.edu/international.
