Walsh College Named ‘Cool Place to Work’ by Crain’s Detroit Business
TROY, Mich., Nov. 11, 2011 – Walsh College was honored as one of Crain’s Detroit Business’ 2011 “Cool Places to Work.” Walsh was the only educational institution honored among the 48 winning organizations, and one of 13 companies chosen in the ‘51-250 employees’ category. The college has been named a “Cool Place to Work” by Crain’s for the past seven years.
Walsh was chosen as a “Cool Place to Work” because of its array of employee benefits, including tuition reimbursement for employees and spouses, and generous health benefits.
Awardees were honored Nov. 10 at The Henry Ford in Dearborn. Companies and non-profits were nominated from five counties in southeastern Michigan, and chosen based on point totals. The winners were selected by Crain’s and the American Society of Employers, and were placed across five company-size categories, based on point totals.
