A couple weeks ago two Walsh graduate students received a lot of high praise as Detroit Regional Chamber President and CEO Sandy K. Baruah presented process maps of certain city of Detroit approval processes at the Detroit Regional Chamber Policy Conference.

Congratulations to Ralph Browning and Stephanie Hawkins, who used their project management skills gained from the IT courses at Walsh to develop the process maps.  Both students were pleased to be a part of a part that would streamline business processes to assist in the redevelopment of Detroit.

The maps are a direct result of the 2012 Mackinac Policy Conference To-Do List, and are simple graphic representations of commonly used city processes that help businesses navigate city requirements.  The set of maps presented focus on permit processes including obtaining a business license, special events, signage, outdoor patio space, new construction and renovation construction.

Leave your notes of congratulations to Ralph Browning and Stephanie Hawkins below.
