Rick Foytek has worked in the financial services industry for more than 16 years, spending the majority of his career managing investment portfolios for successful families and organizations.  He also has several years of expertise researching and analyzing investments.


During his career, Prof. Foytek has held the positions of trust analyst, investment analyst, portfolio manager, financial advisor, senior investment strategist, and chief investment officer. He has worked for regional banks, accounting firms, and investment counseling firms


He authors monthly investment and economic commentary for the firm’s clients. He has written a monthly column in the Lansing State Journal; was a guest host on the Rick Bloom Show on AM 1400 WDTK, and has appeared on WXYZ Channel 7 news as a financial markets expert.

Prof. Foytek has earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute. The CFA designation is globally recognized and attests to a charterholder’s success in a rigorous and comprehensive study program in the field of investment management and research analysis.
