Priority Registration

In appreciation of your service, all veterans and service members can take advantage of priority registration. Priority registration is the first week of each registration period where select students can secure spots in classes before all students can register.  To be eligible, reach out to our Veteran Services Coordinator with your status and branch of service. After this, you will be able to take advantage of priority registration each semester.

See the academic calendar for priority registration dates. As always, do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Using Veteran Education Benefits

If you have any questions as to how your GI Bill benefits work: Contact a School Certifying Official or read the benefit packets.

Submit a Benefit Request Form each academic year (Fall Term).
This will allow us to certify your enrollment with the VA. Enrollment will be certified on the first day of withdrawal period each semester, as long as the BRF is up to date.

Do you want to be certified sooner? Submit the Early Certification Request Form or send an email (from your Walsh email) to veterans@walshcollege.edu.

Taking a semester off or need a comment added to your certification? Send us an email to let us know prior to the first day of withdrawal period.

Military Honor Cords

Veterans can choose to wear a red, white, and blue honor cord as part of their academic regalia for the commencement ceremony.  This cord signifies a veteran's service in the US Armed Forces. Walsh College is honored to provide these cords to veterans or current service members as a small thank you and form of recognition.

The Veteran Services Team shows our deepest respect and heartfelt gratitude as we offer this small symbol of our appreciation. We hope you wear them proudly.

Questions about these cords can be directed to Patty Demasek
