New Student Orientation

The next orientation will be held in the fall of 2014.

New students are strongly encouraged to attend and:

  • Gain insight on how to be a successful student at Walsh College
  • Get educated on important policies and procedures
  • Network with fellow students, faculty and staff
  • Get energized and motivated for your academic experience
  • Learn how to get the most out of the Walsh College experience
  • Get campus tours, ID pictures and pizza
  • Learn about Career Services and Financial Aid

At this event you'll get an inside look at our prestigious MBA program.  Walsh MBA professors, students and alumni, and learn the things you need to know before applying for your MBA. Refreshments will be provided.  Space is limited.

Join Walsh College for an information session offering relevant information and unique networking opportunities for accounting students. Topics will include:  
  • CPA Exam information, including preparation methods, timing of sections, timing of application, and the January 2011 changes
  • CPA/CMA/CIA/CFP/and other certifications
  • Career choices: CPA firms, corporate accounting, nonprofit accounting, managerial accounting
  • Resume and cover letter strategies
  • Study skills and exam-taking techniques
  • Accounting Volunteer Club activities 
  • Review of Walsh Accounting curriculum course content and course sequencing
