Derek earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Walsh College in 2014. Class of 2013 Brian Camilleri has been promoted to senior associate from associate for Plante Moran PLLC, Southfield branch. He earned his Master of Management in 2013 from Walsh College. Class of 2011 Michael Stolnack has been promoted to vice president of credit administration for Clarkston State Bank. He earned his Master of Accountancy in 2011 from Walsh College. Class of 2010 Beth Pacurari joined Plante Moran Cresa in the new position of accounting coordinator. She earned her Master of Business Administration in 2010 from Walsh College. Class of 2007 Jane Harper has been named one of Crain’s “40 Under 40” for 2014. She established information security, operational risk programs, and processes for Henry Ford Health System’s Health Alliance Plan and the credit card security team for Ally Bank. Jane is currently the director of information technology risk management and internal audit for Henry Ford Health System, Health Alliance Plan, Detroit. She earned her Master of Science in Information Assurance in 2007 from Walsh College. W. Michael Hsu is named as one of the 40 Under 40 Leaders shaping the accounting industry for the fifth year in a row by CPA Practice Advisor. Michael is Founder & CEO of DeepSky in Irvine, CA. He earned his Master of Accountancy from Walsh College in 2007. Class of 2005 Dr. David Olszewski presented Use of Systems Thinking by the Industrial Engineer as an Organizational Leader to the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and completed all the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Management in Executive Leadership at Walsh College. David is a distinguished industrial engineer whose experience spans industries including aerospace and defense, automotive manufacturing, transportation logistics, and health care. He earned his Master of Business Administration in 2005 and Doctor of Management in 2014 from Walsh College. Class of 2004 Shaniece Bennett, CPA, has been selected to participate in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business program. Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a $500 million national program designed to help small businesses in the United States create jobs and economic growth by providing entrepreneurs with a practical business education, access to capital, and business support services. To be eligible for the program, you must be a business owner with more than $100,000 in revenue last year, at least two employees, and a passion for growth. Shaniece is the owner of Accutrak Consulting and Accounting Services. She earned her Master of Business Administration in 2004 from Walsh College. Jessica Knapik has been named one of dBusiness’ “30 in Their Thirties” for 2014. She currently works for Walsh College as a data analyst with many roles volunteering in the community, including Blackwell Institute, Gilda’s Club, and Michigan Council of Women in Technology. Jessica earned her Master of Science in Management in 2004 from Walsh College. Class of 2003 Juan (Tony) Molina was appointed president and CEO of the $163 million Palisades Federal Credit Union in Pearl River, NY. For the last ten years, Tony served as the chief financial officer for the $91 million Community Alliance Credit union in Dearborn, MI, where he managed staff and five departments. He earned his Master of Science in Finance in 2003 from Walsh College. Class of 2002 Matthew Jaeger has a new position as vice president of commercial banking for Southeast Michigan, First-Merit Corp. He previously was vice president of commercial banking for Fifth Third Bank. He earned his Master of Business Administration in 2002 from Walsh College. Girls Scouts of Southeastern Michigan (GSSEM) has named Denise Minoletti as CFO. Denise, who was the director of accounting, began her career with the Girl Scouts as an accountant with the former Girl Scouts of Metro Detroit in 2003. She took the director position in 2009 after the merger of Girl Scouts councils into GSSEM. Denise earned her Bachelor of Accountancy in 2002 and Master of Business Administration in 2004 from Walsh College. Class of 2001 Sherry Yagiela has a new position as senior digital project manager for Oakland County, Michigan Government. Her prior experience includes similar positions for Team Detroit and Lowe Campbell Ewald. Sherry earned her Master of Business Administration in 2001 from Walsh College. Class of 1999 Cygnus Systems announced that Jack W. Ketelhut has joined its sales team as a business development manager. Jack has over 20 years of experience in the software technology industry, which includes his time at Columbus and First Tech Direct. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1999 from Walsh College. Class of 1998 BEX Inc. has appointed Mike Simmerer as national sales manager. Mike has been with BEX for more than 20 years in a variety of capacities. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1998 and his Master of Business Administration in 2006 from Walsh College. Class of 1996 Ed Dallwein has joined Spring & Sprout Support Services, an early stage dental service organization providing back office support and tools for operational excellence in pediatric dentists and orthodontists, as the chief financial officer. Ed earned his Bachelor of Accountancy in 1996 from Walsh College. Anissa C. (Werner) Hudy, senior counsel with Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, has been selected as director of events for Women in Defense Michigan. She will serve a two-year term with the organization, a national security organization and an affiliate of the National Defense Industrial Association. Anissa focuses her practice on real estate, commercial litigation, defense sector contracting, bankruptcy, and matters involving creditors’ rights. She has worked extensively on non-compete cases in state and federal courts that involved trade secrets and had eDisccovery issues, including retaining forensic experts and analyzing and working with reports and information acquired through those vendors. Anissa earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in 1996 from Walsh College. Class of 1995 Federal Mogul Motorparts announced the appointment of Laura Soave to the position of senior vice president, chief marketing and communications officer. She will oversee global brand management and be directly responsible for all marketing initiatives and campaigns in the North American market. Additionally, she will be responsible and oversee all activities for the Motorparts’ Communications function, including internal and external communications. Laura earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in 1995 from Walsh College. Amy Solek has been promoted to tax leader, Greater Michigan automotive sector, for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She continues as lead tax partner. Amy earned her Master of Science in Taxation in 1995 from Walsh College. Class of 1994 Daniel Cornwell has been promoted to CEO for Cambridge Consulting Group. He has held various positions, most recently as Cambridge Consulting Group president. Daniel earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1994 from Walsh College. Class of 1991 Russell Long has been promoted to partner, from managing director, for O’Keefe and Associates Consulting LLC. He earned his Bachelor of Accountancy in 1991 from Walsh College. Class of 1985 Rebecca Sorensen has been appointed to a two-year term on the investment committee of the Police and Fire Retirement System of the City of Detroit. She is senior vice president, Wealth Management, institutional consultant, at UBS Institutional Consulting Group. Becky earned her Bachelor of Accountancy in 1985 from Walsh College. Obituary Class of 1993 Kay Wernig, age 78, of Fenton, died Friday, September 26, 2014 at Genesys Health Park. Kay was born February 13, 1936 in Flint, the daughter of Alvin and Dorothy (Bradshaw) Hall. She earned her Master of Science in Accountancy in 1993 from Walsh College.
