I’m a lucky guy.

It’s not every day that a person can take their off-beat interests and pull out meaningful career skills from them. Luckily, my interests in radio and magic allowed me to do just that.

One of my favorite books from the MBA program at Walsh was The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. He said that communication is one of the most important things that we do because we do it so much every day.

Let me tell you about how my love for radio and tricking people taught me how to communicate better in the “real world.”

He also held the position of president for the WCAA for two consecutive terms.  He continues his commitment to higher education by sitting on the Walsh College Foundation Board as the youngest director of the board in March of 2013.

  • This position acts as a subject matter expert, responsible for key elements of the new Commercial Data Warehouse, scheduled for implementation across the globe.

Julie Andreae, is founder of Secure Beginnings, LLC, which creates breathable mattresses for infants to help prevent SIDS. She is in contention for a $25.000 grant from FedEx.  The money will be used to help reduce manufacturing costs so more families can afford “the safest sleep” available for their babies.  VOTE daily through midnight March 17th.

Leanna Haun was such a natural in front of the camera and offered a wealth of painting knowledge when she appeared on her local cable TV show:  It’s a Good Day When…that she now has a her own local cable TV show:  Painting with…Picasso’s Grapevine.  Grab a paint brush and canvas and watch her first episode here.

Blackstone LaunchPad member, alumni and ‘fashionista’ Julie Wardi of 325BLVD is featured in the February 15th edition of the Oakland Press.  Julie’s fashion philosophy is “What makes you different makes you beautiful.”  Her mission at 325BLVD is to allow individuals to express themselves using their own style.  Read the full article here and be sure to shop her website!
