Walsh College Announces New, Enhanced MBA, MS Graduate Programs

Walsh College is enhancing its highly regarded Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science (MS) graduate programs to focus on the changing needs of students and employers. The programs begin in fall 2014.

Applauding Alumni

Thomas B. Lanni, Jr., MBA '05

Tom Lanni, Jr., MBA '05, FACHE, is vice president of Oncology, Internal Medicine and Imaging for Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He is responsible for leading the clinical, operational, financial, research, and quality and safety for these clinical areas. Tom is a member of the Society of Radiation Oncology Administrators (SROA), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and Leadership Oakland. He serves on the board of directors for the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Michigan Gamma Knife, LLC. Tom is a member of the Finance Committee for Leadership Oakland and the Michigan Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (MCACH). He was a previous recipient of the 2012 Beaumont's Rising Star Leader Award and was recently recognized as a 2014 L. Brooks Patterson Elite 40-under-40 awardee.

Blackstone Launchpad Member, Walsh alumna and current student, Sylvia Ruma, is in the news with her new business. Sylvia believes that simple, natural, and chemical-free is the way to live healthier lives. Ruma not only sells, but makes her own all natural, aluminum and paraben-free deodorant - Ruma Organics. The wife and mother started blending deodorant in her kitchen for personal and family-member use when she was unable to find a product that met her needs. Her chief assistant in the kitchen is her dad. Ruma Organics strives to bring organic, wholesome products from her home to yours. 



Blackstone Launchpad Member and alumna, Leanna Haun, is opening a new art studio in Clarkston, MI. You can enjoy a glass of wine while learning to paint a masterpiece at Picasso's Grapevine. Her art studio will offer open classes as well as private parties and it will be BYOB.
