The accounting profession has continued to grow in recent decades; this growth results from the continued emphasis on accounting as the language of business and the role of accounting in financial and managerial decision-making.  Some students desire a career in general accounting or corporate/management accounting instead of public accounting with a CPA designation.  The Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting Processes is designated to allow students to enter the accounting profession, providing a firm foundation in accounting while also allowing flexibility to enroll in several non-accounting courses to fulfill degree requirements.  Although not suited for students planning on taking the CPA exam, this degree prepares the student to sit for the Certified Management Accountant and Certified Financial Manager Examinations.

Program Format
Earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree Accounting Processes from Walsh College requires a total of 127 semester credit hours. This includes the transfer of up to 82 credit hours and a minimum of 45 credit hours (15 courses) taken while in residence at Walsh College. The Accounting Processes program requires completion of all courses in the professional and major core.

The * courses at the right are typically transferred from a community college or another accredited educational institution. Additional transfer equivalencies may be established, depending on the course taken and the transfer tuition.
