Flags are representing a cross section of countries parade into the auditorium before the ceremony. Selected students will need to attend a rehearsal the morning of the ceremony. If you're interested in carrying a flag, complete the nomination form. Nomination deadline is usually a month before the ceremony. For the June 2016 ceremony, the deadline is Friday, May 13.
Consider nominating a fellow classmate or yourself for the Walsh commencement student speaker. Those in good standing can participate in the audition process. Selected student will need to attend president reception week of commencement and rehearsal the day before. If you're interested, submit the nomination form. Nomination deadline is typically two months before the ceremony.
Important Tip! If you are nominating yourself, there are a few things to keep in mind when writing/practicing your speech and making your audition. Overall speech content and message is important. However, the judging panel also takes into consideration posture, poise, eye contact, voice inflection, tone, and overall presentation.
