Social Media for Job Seekers
Networking is one of the most powerful (and successful) methods for
job search, especially in challenging business climates. Are you using
social media sites (LinkedIn.com, Facebook, Twitter) to your advantage?
Attend this three-session course to learn techniques that can help to
supercharge your job search. Bring your own laptop (helpful, but not
required) for hands-on instruction. Session 1 is an introduction to the
main three sites: LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. Session 2 will give
you insights into how to make the most of your presence on LinkedIn for
your job search, and Session 3 will give you the opportunity to learn
from others who have success stories using these sites. Each session
will contain opportunities for you to incorporate your learnings in a
hands-on workshop, and participants will be asked to apply their
learnings each week. Laptops are helpful but not required.
FEE / ELIGIBILITY: Free and open to anyone who is currently unemployed.
