Professional Activities
Dr. Bailey is a past-chair of the Authorized Provider Commission of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). As chair, she managed a 35-volunteer Commission that evaluated applications and conducted site visits for organizations wishing to be accredited as Authorized Providers of Continuing Education and Training. She also served as a member of the Commission for six years.
Previous to taking on the Commission chair role, Dr. Bailey served on the IACET Board of Directors for nine years. She participated on several major task forces, including the Distance Learning and History Task Forces. In 2007, she was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for her many years of service to the association.
Biography
Dr. Bailey is an e-learning consultant and instructional designer of web-based training programs. With 25 years of experience in the training industry, she has designed and developed online courses for a variety of major companies. She has also developed classroom instruction and user guides for pharmaceutical, advertising, automotive, and financial organizations, as well as companies involved in other industries.
Dr. Bailey was also involved in teaching technical writing and editing technical documents for a major technical training company. She has also edited and managed the production of various marketing materials and annual catalogs.
