Biography
Mr. Berschback joined Walsh College in 1980, serving as Chairman of the Accounting Department from 1980 until 1995. He returned to the Chair position in May of 2005. Rick previously worked in the auditing departments of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young.
Prior teaching included courses at Macomb Community College, Henry Ford Community College, and the University of Detroit.
During the years of 1982 - 1983 Rick administrated the CPA Exam in Michigan and Maryland. He has also been the coordinator and key instructor in the Metro-Detroit CPA Review Course since 1984. Information of the review course can be obtained at http://www.detroitcpareview.com
Rick has spent the majority of his career at Walsh focusing on undergraduate and graduate students and their preparation for a career in accounting. He and his wife Mary have three adult children and live in Grosse Pointe Park.
