Anthony Earley, Chairman & CEO of DTE Energy and his wife Sarah, Founder and President of the Belle Isle Women's Committee, will each receive the prestigious Jeffery W. Barry Award for Educational Excellence & Community Service.


Dennis Harder who is also co-chairing this year's Leadership Awards will receive the 2010 Walsh College Distinguished Alumni Award.  Dennis is the managing director & head of Michigan middle market at The Private Bank.


Alexander Schwallbach, Chairman & CEO of A.G. Schwallbach will receive the 2010 Walsh College Distinguished Graduate of the Last Decade Award.

Walsh College Announces 2010 Leadership Awards Honorees

Walsh College is pleased to announce the 2010 Leadership Awards honorees.  They include:

The recipients will be honored on Saturday, November 13 at the Royal Park Hotel.  The event begins at 7 p.m.  There will be a raffle and silent auction.  All proceeds will benefit the Jeffery W. Barry Endowed Scholarship and the Walsh College General Scholarship Fund.  We have several sponsorship opportunities available.  Tickets can be purchased for $250.  For more information please contact Andrea Richards.

About the awards
Established in 2000, the Jeffery W. Barry Award for Educational Excellence & Community Service is the College's most prestigious awards.  It is given out annually to individuals that demonstrate leadership in their chosen field of business and a commitment to the community through their philanthropic efforts.  The award is named after long-time Walsh President Jeffery W. Barry.

The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes alumni that have achieved exceptional professional and personal recognition.  The recipient must have a strong record of service to their community and Walsh.

The Distinguished Graduate of the Last Decade recognizes early outstanding achievements of alumni who have graduated from Walsh within the last decade.  The recipient must demonstrate outstanding achievements in their profession, and a commitment to service in their community and Walsh College.
