Books
The Walsh College Library collection consists of approximately 27,000 volumes, totally focused to support the business programs offered at Walsh. In addition, there are over 4,700 e-books. The collection covers the areas of accounting, business communications, business law, computer information systems, business technology and security, economics, finance, management, quantitative methods of marketing, and taxation. The collection of tax materials is one of the most extensive among public and private libraries in Michigan.

Periodicals
The collection also includes print and online subscriptions to business journals, newsletters and newspapers which provide current information so important to business research. Over 8,300 titles are indexed in the library's collection of online periodicals. There are also 122,000 microfiche for back issues.

You will find a listing of all the hard copy periodicals in the Walsh College Periodical Holdings notebooks found near the reference desk or at the periodicals request window. You can also do a title search on the online library catalog of books and periodicals, to check if the library owns a particular periodical.

To obtain the hard copy of a periodical housed in the library, fill out a periodical request slip for each item and present it to the person on duty at the periodicals window. The journal, magazine, or newspaper will be given to you either in paper or microfiche form. Copiers and microfiche readers/copiers are located across from the periodicals window.

If the Walsh College Library does not have a periodical you need in-house, check for full-text articles on one of the many online databases such as LexisNexis Academic, ProQuest ABI/INFORM Global, FirstSearch, General Reference Center Gold, etc. To quickly find the database that has the particular article you are seeking, go the the library home page and click the E-Journals link. The page opens up a screen with an alphabetical list of full text journal titles. Select the letter of the magazine title you are searching for and scroll down to find the title. After you select the magazine or journal title, you will be taken to the search screen for that particular database.

Another option is to ask a librarian for assistance in locating the needed material at another library for reciprocal borrowing or interlibrary loan. Call (248) 823-1337 for more information on interlibrary loan.

The library houses over 77 videos which can be checked out for one week.

Audio Cassettes and CDs
