Walsh College Board of Trustees Elects Three New Members, Names New Chair and Vice-Chairs

The Walsh College Board of Trustees has elected three new members to serve three-year terms and has appointed a new chair and two vice-chairs to the governing body of the College.

The new members are Betty S. Chu, M.D., Bloomfield Hills, Mich., chief medical officer and vice president, medical affairs, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital; Thomas W. Proctor, Bloomfield Hills, Mich., chief executive officer, White Light Capital Ltd.; and Gerald Schafer, Cary, N.C., recent corporate vice president, worldwide development, McDonald’s Corp.

Walsh College Hosts Information Technology Capstone Fair

Walsh College is hosting its Information Technology Capstone Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, in room 111-113 at the school’s Troy campus.  The Capstone Fair provides an opportunity for graduating students to present their final research projects which demonstrate the knowledge and skills gained through their academic program.

Ten finalists, selected from 95 entries, will pitch their businesses to a panel of judges for a prize pool valued at more than $75,000.

Real World Instructors Teach Walsh PHR/SPHR Exam Prep Program: Professional in Human Resources Certification prep begins this month at Walsh College

Walsh is offering the PHR/SPHR Exam Prep course this fall at the Novi campus. Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 6-10 p.m. for nine weeks starting September 24. Tuition is $1,495 with a $200 discount for early registration. More information can be found online here
