Ronis, professor and chair, Management, Walsh College, served as guest speaker on the use of foresight methodologies to improve public policy on September 12, 2014 at the Royal Society in London, U.K., invited by the Astronomer Royal, Sir Martin John Rees, Baron Rees of Ludlow, Kt., the former president of the Royal Society and master of Trinity College, Cambridge. 
Walsh College Becomes First Private Michigan College to Support “8 Keys to Veterans’ Success” for Student Veterans

Walsh College is the first private Michigan college to become an official signatory to the “8 Keys to Veterans’ Success,” a set of specific strategies that colleges and universities can implement to support educational success for student veterans of the armed forces.
Real World Instructors Teach Walsh PHR/SPHR Exam Prep Program: Professional in Human Resources Certification prep begins this month at Walsh College

Walsh is offering the PHR/SPHR Exam Prep course this fall at the Novi campus. Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 6-10 p.m. for nine weeks starting September 24. Tuition is $1,495 with a $200 discount for early registration. More information can be found online here

Walsh College Presents Solomon Tax Symposium on October 30

Walsh College Names Sanderson to Chair Accounting, Business Law, and Taxation Department

Jennifer C. Sanderson of Macomb, Mich., a 25-year accounting professional and a faculty member at Walsh College since 2006, has been named chair, Accounting, Business Law, and Taxation (ABLT) Department, at the College.  Her appointment is effective with the start of the 2014-15 academic year. 
Walsh College Establishes Kaufman Endowed Student Success Fund

Walsh College has established the Alan Jay and Sue Kaufman Endowed Student Success Fund, which will match up to $100,000 for gifts directed to support free tutoring for students for course work and written or verbal presentations.  The Fund is based on a gift from the Kaufmans.
Walsh College Will Break Ground for $15 Million Addition on Sept. 5

Walsh College will break ground for the $15 million addition and renovation to its Troy campus at 3838 Livernois at a special ceremony scheduled for 9 a.m., Friday, September 5, 2014. The event is free and open to the public, but attendees must register at www.walshcollege.edu/groundbreaking
