Walsh College Hosts Free Capstone Fair on Information Technology
Graduating Walsh College Business Information Technology and Information Assurance students will display their innovative, real-world final projects at the twice-annual Capstone Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 14, in room 111-113 at the school’s Troy campus.
The fair is free and open to the public.
Students will be demonstrating their subject mastery with their Capstone projects. They include electronic medical records for a family clinic; procedures to implement a program office for a medium-size business; security awareness training that anyone can use; business intelligence; incident response and crisis management; tableau training; and new customer acquisition for a web business.
Most of the projects have been chosen in response to technology trends or a need a student has identified in their industry or workplace.
“Walsh offers strong academic programs for students in information technology fields. The Capstone Fair provides a forum for students to show their expertise and knowledge,” said Nanette S. Poulios, assistant professor and business information technology director, Information Assurance Center. “The projects at the Fair demonstrate the practical skills our students develop, along with their academic achievement.”
