Veteran Services for Future Students
Walsh College highly values your service to our country and appreciates the life experience you bring to our educational community. We are proud to provide personalized assistance to help veterans and military members fully use their educational benefits. Located within the Records and Registration Office, Veteran Services helps students smoothly transition from military duty to academic life.
We provide a variety of personalized services to our veteran and service member students:
- Waived admission application fee
- Yellow Ribbon Participating School
- Extended payment due dates for GI Bill benefit recipients
- Easy access to veteran services on or around campus
- Accessible School Certifying Officials (SCO) with extensive and specialized knowledge of GI Bill changes
- Acceptance of up to 91 credit hours of approved transfer course work
- Acceptance of military credits toward a degree. Military-friendly policies/procedures for veterans/service members, and their family members
- One-on-one appointments for veterans needing assistance transitioning from military to civilian life
- On-campus Walsh College Student Veteran Organization (WCSVO) with mentorship programs, networking opportunities, and community outreach
