Accounting Adjunct Faculty (part time)
Minimum qualifications include a master's degree, CPA and recent accounting experience.  Specific course needs include accounting information systems (QuickBooks, Peachtree, Great Plans, and MS Office) and communications for accounting

Position: Academic Advisor

Reports to: Assistant Director, Admissions and Academic Advising

FLSA: Exempt

Major Responsibilities:
Advise new and continuing undergraduate and graduate students regarding academic programs, admissions requirements, and transferring of courses.
• Recruit new students through high schools, community colleges, employers, and community/business events.
• Serve as primary recruiting liaison with partner community colleges and other transfer institutions as assigned.
• Develop relationships with local corporations to ensure employees are informed of Walsh programs.
• Evaluate transfer credit and process admissions applications.
• Perform ongoing follow-up with prospective and current students.
• Advise continuing students on academic progress, academic policies, graduation and problem resolution.
• Assist in the development and execution of enrollment management plans to include marketing, admissions, orientation, and retention activities.
• Provide office and event coverage two early evenings per week and occasional weekend assignments as part of a flexible schedule.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor degree required. Graduate degree preferred.
• A minimum of one year customer/student service and/or office experience required.
• Student service in higher education preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of excellent customer service required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Possesses the demeanor and presence to represent the College.
• Experience in public speaking, sales, marketing and/or event planning preferred.
• Understanding of business career options preferred.
• Computer literacy required.
• Organizational skills required.
• Must be able to travel overnight on occasion.

Position: Part-time Marketing & PR Intern (temporary)

Reports to: Marketing Manager

FLSA: Non-exempt

Major Responsibilities:

• Provide support to marketing and PR department which is responsible for a wide range of functions.
• Assist in coordinating events and advertising campaigns, college events calendar, vendor relations, webinars, marketing research, marketing communications, website updates, copywriting/proofreading, and social media.

Minimum Requirements:
• Candidate must be a Walsh College student pursuing a marketing major at the bachelor’s degree level or degreed alumni.
• Must be available to work 20 hours per week and cover occasional evening and weekend events (will schedule around courses).
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task required.
• Strong written and proofreading communication skills required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. (Work or academic samples will be requested during the interview process).
• Strong desire and ability to learn quickly required.
• Strong knowledge of Walsh College programs required.
• Marketing, social media, or Web design experience a plus.

Position: Director, Novi Campus

FLSA: Exempt

Reports to: Assistant Vice President, Enrollment & Student Services

Major Responsibilities:
• Manage and be accountable for services at the Novi Campus, including admissions, advising, registration, and faculty support. Coordinate services managed by other departments, including career services, financial aid, bookstore, facilities, library, and technology.
• Develop and execute Novi Campus plan which includes enrollment initiatives, student recruitment, corporate visitation goals and community outreach. Ensure coordination of plan with other departments.
• Perform, track, and report on corporate visitations.
• Analyze enrollment trends and recommend program offerings and courses to maximize enrollment at the Novi Campus.
• Supervise Novi Campus academic advisors and administrative support staff.
• Advise students and perform admissions evaluations.
• Develop and manage administrative cost center budget.
• Explore opportunities to build additional partnership agreements. Ensure execution and service of any partnership agreements related to the Novi Campus.
• Communicate and follow up on any academic issues with the appropriate academic administrator.
• Write and distribute monthly reports on campus progress.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years related professional level higher education experience; admissions and advising experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Professional presence and demeanor to work with a variety of organizational levels and corporate clientele.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty, staff and students.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Computer skills required, especially in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to resolve problems quickly.
• Ability to travel within metro-Detroit area.
• Must be available to work one evening per week until 7:00.

• Maintain appropriate professional association relationships.

• A related master’s degree and a minimum of ABD status and completion of a doctorate within one year required. Candidates with a related doctorate degree are strongly preferred.
• Five years professional level finance experience required.

• Professional certifications in finance or related field preferred (CFA, CPA, CFP, CTP, etc.)

Position: Part-time Academic Research Associate (temporary)

Reports to: Executive Vice President, Chief Academic Officer and the
Director, Doctor of Management Program

Primary Location: Troy Campus

Major Responsibilities:
• Provide research design assistance to faculty and doctoral students for scholarship, business research, grant proposals, and dissertation studies.
• Serve as statistician for faculty and doctoral student academic research projects.
• Collaborate with Doctor of Management program director and faculty dissertation advisors in assessing methodologies employed in student research endeavors.
• Submit required paperwork on a timely basis.

Minimum Requirements:
• Doctorate degree required.
• Master’s degree in quantitative methods, statistics or a related field required.
• Expertise in research design (both quantitative and qualitative methods), data collection, and analysis strategies required.
• Proficient with SPSS, online survey tools (i.e., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey), Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience advising doctoral and graduate students on dissertation and thesis research methodology preferred.
• Experience in overseeing business-related research projects preferred.
• Grant experience preferred.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required.
