                Specific course needs include accounting information systems (QuickBooks, Peachtree, Great Plans, and MS Office) and communications for accounting.

Position:           Part-time Testing Assistant (10-18 hours/week)


Reports to:       Coordinator, Student Outcomes Assessment and Testing Center


FLSA:              Non-exempt


Major Responsibilities:

  • Administer a variety of tests (paper and electronic) to groups and individuals, including those with special needs.

  • Ensure optimal and secure testing conditions for all clientele.

  • Uphold the security and confidentiality of tests and records, scoring procedures, and data collection. Abide by all FERPA regulations.

  • Schedule and monitor testing appointments.

  • Closely monitor and update testing calendar.

  • Track completed assessments as directed.

  • Score tests and record results in database.

  • Check in examinees, verifying identification.

  • Serve as a proctor for a variety of testing activities.

  • Present instructions verbally to test takers, following established procedures.

  • Monitor test taker behavior and disqualify examination as needed; resolve or report test irregularities.

  • Answer inquiries regarding types of tests offered and hours of Testing Center operations.

  • Assist Coordinator, Student Outcomes Assessment and Testing Center, as needed.

  • Perform general office functions.


    Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • One year of office, higher education, or the equivalent in experience and education required.

  • Accurate data entry and recordkeeping skills required.

  • Intermediate Word, Excel, and Internet skills required.  Additional computer skills a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.

  • Good written and oral communication skills required.

  • Track record of good customer or student service strongly desired. 

  • Ability to comprehend and follow detailed written instructions, then clearly present instructions.

  • Ability to interact with all organizational levels.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be available to work Monday through Thursday, and alternating Friday/Saturday morning shifts and evening shifts.

Position:        Full-time Faculty Member, Business Information Technology, Decision Science Department

Major Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in cybersecurity and information technology at various campuses, both in-classroom and online.

  • Develop course materials and student assessment vehicles to assure appropriate levels of academic standards are maintained.

  • Assist in revising curricula and delivery methods to meet the needs of students and employers.

  • Assist chair in recruiting, managing, and scheduling adjunct faculty members.

Position:           Administrative Assistant, Records, Registration & Veterans Services


Reports to:    Director, Records, Registration & Veterans Services

Major Responsibilities:

  • Service students, visitors and staff by phone, fax, and e-mail or in person.

  • Assist students, faculty and staff with departmental policies and procedures.

  • Process registration, add/drop and withdrawal forms throughout each day during registration periods.

  • Organize and track files of student employees.

  • Process transcript requests and enrollment/degree verifications.

  • Process subpoena requests for educational records within FERPA and legal requirements.

  • Act as liaison to National Student Clearinghouse and process loan deferment forms.

  • Act as CPA Exam Service liaison.

  • Monitor and manage online forms, department fax and department email boxes.  Process and respond to requests.

  • Collect and analyze data; summarize findings for reports and presentations.

  • Maintain department staff schedule and post each month.

Position:          Senior Major Gifts Officer


Reports to:       Vice President, Chief Development Officer


FLSA:               Exempt

Major Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the vice president, cultivate and solicit major gifts.  

  • Identify, evaluate, cultivate, solicit and steward major gift prospects and donors.

  • Manage a portfolio of 150 corporate, foundation and individual donor prospects.

  • Achieve a minimum of 15 face to face visits per month, or 180 per year.

  • Design and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies.

  • Prepare proposals and presentations as needed.

  • Solicit and negotiate gifts of $25,000 plus.

  • Engage students in the life of the College to support a high quality student experience outside the classroom.

  • Develop, lead and meet goals of annual giving programs, including direct mail, Phonathon, crowdfunding, and employee giving.

Position: Part-time Video Intern (temporary)

Reports to: Director of Marketing

FLSA: Non-exempt

Major Responsibilities:
• Responsible for recording and editing videos and taking photographs for the marketing department which is responsible for a wide range of functions.

• Video production:

Assist in coordinating videotaping events, which will include: college events, student/alumni testimonials, staff and faculty informational videos, and ad hoc video post-production projects for the college.

Handle all pre- and post-production to complete videos, including approval process (internal College approval and waivers from those appearing in the film).

Post video content on College website and College YouTube channel.
• Photography:

Attend College events, often evening and weekend, to take photographs using department camera

Take headshots of College faculty

Make edits and enhancements to photographs as needed

Minimum Requirements:
• Pursuing a video production, photography, or related degree at an articulated community college (www.walshcollege.edu/Transfer)

• Experience with digital video recording, digital cameras, and production techniques

• Access to video production software for editing and post-production. Video camera and digital camera provided.
