             Major Responsibilities:          

    • Advise new and continuing undergraduate and graduate students regarding academic programs, admissions requirements, and transferring of courses.

    • Recruit new students through high schools, community colleges, employers, and community/business events.

    • Serve as primary recruiting liaison with partner community colleges and other transfer institutions as assigned.

    • Develop relationships with local corporations to ensure employees are informed of Walsh programs.

    • Evaluate transfer credit and process admissions applications.

    • Perform ongoing follow-up with prospective and current students.

    • Advise continuing students on academic progress, academic policies, graduation and problem resolution.

    • Assist in the development and execution of enrollment management plans to include marketing, admissions, orientation, and retention activities.

      Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor degree required.  Graduate degree preferred.

    • A minimum of one year customer/student service and/or office experience required.

    • Student service in higher education preferred.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of excellent customer service required.

    • Strong oral and written communication skills required.

    • Possesses the demeanor and presence to represent the College. 

    • Experience in public speaking, sales, marketing and/or event planning preferred.

    Position:                    Part Time Representative, University Center at Macomb Community College


    Reports to:                Office Coordinator, University Centers


    FLSA:                         Nonexempt

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Provide office and administrative support for the University Center Campus.

    • Serve as front line contact for basic Walsh College information via telephone, in person and/or via email.

    • Schedule advisor appointments and direct calls to appropriate person(s) and/or department(s).

    • Perform data entry, scanning and updates of information into student database.

    • Assist prospects and students with basic information pertaining to student services.

    Position:         Accounts Receivable Coordinator
    Reports to:     Director, Accounting/Controller
    FLSA:             Nonexempt

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Ensure quality student service and communication to all students related to accounts receivable.  Update Web site, signage, policies, messaging, and other mass student communication. 

    • Process student refund request exceptions, including coordinating committee meetings and providing documentation.

    • Process student refund vouchers, third party invoices, student account statement requests, and non-student invoices. 

    • Resolve and follow up on student account issues; interface with other departments as needed.

    • Maintain and update student accounts receivables system and participate in system updates.

    • Process annual 1098T forms and related reports.

    • Maintain and update accounts receivable procedures and documentation.  Assist in policy development and make recommendations for process improvement.

    • Manage imaging system related to accounts receivable documents.

    • Perform cashier responsibilities including receipt, posting and balancing daily cash receipts with accuracy.

    • Post adjustments and charges to student accounts.

    • Establish and maintain payment arrangements with students.  Monitor delinquent accounts and work with collection agencies.

    • Service students, guests, and employees in person, phone, and via e-mail.

    • Perform adhoc analysis and other special projects.

    • Participate in internal/external audits.

    • Follow business office procedures and safeguard College monetary assets, including complying with PCI.


      Minimum Requirements:

    • High school diploma required.

    • A minimum of two years accounts receivable experience OR an equivalent combination of accounting experience and accounting education. 

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.  Ability to learn quickly and/or experience with integrated software programs preferred. 

    • Accurate typing/keyboarding skills and familiarity with 10-key calculator required.

    Position:           Part-time Testing Assistant (10-18 hours/week)

    Reports to:       Coordinator, Student Outcomes Assessment and Testing Center

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Administer a variety of tests (paper and electronic) to groups and individuals, including those with special needs.
    • Ensure optimal and secure testing conditions for all clientele.
    • Uphold the security and confidentiality of tests and records, scoring procedures, and data collection. Abide by all FERPA regulations.

    • Under the direction of the vice president, cultivate and solicit major gifts.

     Position: Part-time Video Intern (temporary)

    Reports to: Director of Marketing

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for recording and editing videos and taking photographs for the marketing department which is responsible for a wide range of functions.

    • Video production:

      Assist in coordinating videotaping events, which will include: college events, student/alumni testimonials, staff and faculty informational videos, and ad hoc video post-production projects for the college.

      Handle all pre- and post-production to complete videos, including approval process (internal College approval and waivers from those appearing in the film).

    • Photography:
