Position: Director, Division of Online Learning
FLSA: Exempt
Reports to: Dean, Division of Online Learning
Major Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, update, and maintenance process for online courses
• Work with faculty to design online courses
• Manage team of professional and technical staff members
• Coordinate training and support system for faculty to develop and enhance online courses
• Oversee online student support activities, such as the online student orientation, student technical support and student course feedback system
• Evaluate and continuously improve system and standards to deliver high quality online learning experiences
• Oversee technical support and security related to third party online course management software and related technologies
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend technology related to online learning
• Develop and maintain knowledge of business trends to be reflected in course/program content
• Assist in planning and participate in events to promote Walsh online learning
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree required
• Formal education in instructional design or educational technology required
• Supervisory experience of professionals required
• Five years experience in design and implementation of college level, for-credit online learning courses required
• Outstanding instructional design, technical and computer knowledge including web page design, Microsoft Office, Macromedia Applications, HTML, Flash and course management systems required
• Knowledge of current online pedagogy and technologies required
• Excellent organizational and communication skills required
• Ability to multi-task and manage projects required
• Ability to collaborate and work collegially with multiple constituencies in a dynamic academic environment required
• Knowledge of business curriculum strongly preferred

Full Time Faculty Member, Accounting Department

Major Responsibilities:
• Teach a minimum of eight courses per academic year to primarily non-traditional students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Develop course materials and student assessment vehicles to assure appropriate levels of academic standards are maintained.

• Assist chair in recruiting, managing, and scheduling adjunct faculty members.
