    Position:        Full-time Faculty Member, Finance & Economics Department

    Reports to:    Chair, Finance & Economics Department

     

    Major Responsibilities: 

    • Teach finance and economics related courses, per contract.   

    • Develop course materials and student assessment vehicles to assure appropriate levels of academic standards are maintained.

    • Assist in revising curricula and delivery methods to meet the needs of students and employers.

    • Assist chair in recruiting, managing, and scheduling adjunct faculty members. 

    • Advise students on course selections and career paths. 

    • Provide student learning outcomes data as it relates to the program(s). 

    • Maintain appropriate professional association relationships.

    • Participate in program advisory meetings. 

    • Participate in scholarly activities that contribute to the profession.

    • Collaborate with enrollment management function to implement recruitment and retention strategies.

    Minimum Requirements:      

    • A related doctorate degree is required.  A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the field(s) assigned to teach is required.   

    • A minimum of five years professional level economics or finance experience required.

    • College level teaching experience required.

    • Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

    • Knowledge of technology applications related to the finance field.

    • Knowledge of professions in the finance field.

    • Ability to work collegially with multiple constituencies in a dynamic academic environment.

    • Available to teach at various times and campus locations.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Provide front desk student services coverage, including answering phones and scheduling appointments.
    • Perform essential data entry of prospect and student information.
    • Process registration, drop/add and withdrawal forms.
    • Provide students with informational materials on academic programs and student services.
    • Understand and explain departmental policies and procedures.
    • Accept pertinent student services forms, explain process and check for completion.
    • Process student and alumni PIN resets by phone or in-person.

     Position: Records & Registration Analyst

    Reports to: Director, Records, Registration & Veteran Services

    FLSA: Non-exempt

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Organize, design and publish the registration packet.
    • Update departmental Web pages.
    • Revise and produce departmental forms.
    • Assist in commencement related activities.
    • Create queries and custom reports upon request.
    • Coordinate with Marketing to produce communication to students, staff and external constituents.

    Position: Part-time Testing Assistant – 22 hours/week

    Reports to: Coordinator, Student Outcomes Assessment and Testing Center

    FLSA: Non-exempt

    Major Responsibilities:
    • Administer a variety of tests (paper and electronic) to groups and individuals, including those with special needs.
    • Ensure optimal and secure testing conditions for all clientele.
    • Uphold the security and confidentiality of tests and records, scoring procedures, and data collection. Abide by all FERPA regulations.
    • Schedule and monitor testing appointments.
    • Closely monitor and update testing calendar.
    • Track completed assessments as directed.
    • Score tests and record results in database.

     Position: Part-time Video Intern (temporary)

    Reports to: Director of Marketing

    FLSA: Non-exempt

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for recording and editing videos and taking photographs for the marketing department which is responsible for a wide range of functions.

    • Video production:

      Assist in coordinating videotaping events, which will include: college events, student/alumni testimonials, staff and faculty informational videos, and ad hoc video post-production projects for the college.

      Handle all pre- and post-production to complete videos, including approval process (internal College approval and waivers from those appearing in the film).

      Post video content on College website and College YouTube channel.
    • Photography:

      Attend College events, often evening and weekend, to take photographs using department camera
      Take headshots of College faculty
      Make edits and enhancements to photographs as needed

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Pursuing a video production, photography, or related degree at an articulated community college (www.walshcollege.edu/Transfer)
    • Experience with digital video recording, digital cameras, and production techniques
    • Access to video production software for editing and post-production. Video camera and digital camera provided.

    • Provide support to marketing and PR department which is responsible for a wide range of functions.
