SESSION TWO: The Five Key Numbers Every Business Owner Must Know

In this session, you will learn the Profit Equation which is based on and includes the FIVE most important numbers in your business. When business owners work "ON" their business, it is important that they focus on one of these five areas because these five numbers are all about results. Actions and strategies to impact each key number will be presented. Participants will leave with the example worksheet that will be reviewed in the workshop (business case study), and a blank worksheet to implement on their own. Additionally, participants will leave with ideas, and specific actions to take to impact each number to drive better results.

SESSION THREE: Are You Running a Valuable Business?

The ultimate test of value for your business can be found in a simple question: Would someone want to buy your company?
Whether you want to sell next year, a decade from now, or pass the business on to family, you need to build a valuable asset for the future. This session will provide everything you need to know about increasing the value of your company so that you have options. The Sellability Score is an interactive tool offering a comprehensive assessment of the “sellability” of your business. Once you register, you'll receive a link to the Sellability questionnaire. At the workshop, you'll get an overall Sellability Score out of 100;  along with your score on the eight key drivers of Sellability, which are statistically proven to increase the value of your company. Each participant will get a copy of their personal 26-page Business Sellability Report. You may not be considering selling your business at this point, but you should make sure you are creating and growing a sellable business...don't miss this informative session!

SESSION ONE: 1% Vision and 99% Alignment: Strategic Planning that Works!

The One Page Strategic Plan creates a unique framework that everything else is built upon, providing a common language so your entire team is clear on priorities. The One Page Plan creates alignment, keeping everyone focused on the most important initiatives. By leveraging the plan you will be able to:
• Increase your ability to execute the right strategies
• Edit your vision and strategy down to a single, action-oriented page
• Get organized with (3) planning horizons: 3-5 years, 1-year and the current quarter
• Align all employees around the most important priorities
• Use the plan monthly, quarterly and annually to get all employees focused on the right things to drive organizational growth.

Dr. Baker has over 18 years of business development, sales, marketing, strategic planning, and organizational development experience working with multi-million dollar organizations operating across a number of industries, including technology, industrial, manufacturing, and retail.

She currently owns a business coaching practice where she and two associates coach business owners and executives, helping them increase profits, build teams of great people and execute on solid strategies for growth.

Kathryn is treasurer for the Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce, a sponsor for the Walsh Leadership Institute and an adjunct instructor at Walsh College. Kathryn earned a Doctorate of Management in Executive Leadership from Walsh College in 2014. 


ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Emily Bauman has a passion for business and a desire to help others succeed to their highest potential. As a coach and training professional, she brings experience in, business development, strategic planning, sales, customer service, and marketing across fields of retail, telecommunications, cards and gifts, landscape and medical/dental/veterinary industries.

As a small business owner, she built her own landscape design and build firm and based the company philosophy on systems and processes that could be trained and duplicated time over time with the same exceptional results.

Emily is the Secretary/Treasurer of her BNI chapter and an Ambassador with Livonia Chamber of Commerce. She has served on several boards of directors and continues to work with non-profit organizations as an advisor and volunteer.
