Susan shares her various experiences and knowledge gained from her more than 27 years in the automotive industry at General Motors as well as her experiences as an organizational consultant. This consulting included areas of executive assessments, career transition consulting, and intercultural transformation.
Susan’s many years in Product Development at General Motors offered her positions as an Appearance Engineer, Executive Business Manager, Strategic Business Planner, Prototype Studio Manager, and Vehicle Architecture Coordinator that helped her to understand a complex work environment and how management practices impact a global business. While at GM, Susan instructed on organizational training topics such as change management, process evaluation and improvement, problem resolution, and team building.
On a personal side, at a community level, Susan’s training has included the development and teaching of a children’s divorce recovery program at a community church as well as other community enrichment projects. She resides with her best friend/husband and is a recent empty nester with two grown children and two grown stepchildren. Nearby are also six adorable (no bias there!) little grandchildren. If all of that does not fill up every available minute of the week, Susan enjoys reading, gardening, traveling, and golfing. Having been a working student for many years in the past, Susan has a great understanding of the challenges working students face.
