Mission:

The mission of the Walsh College Investment Club (WCIC) is to provide hands-on educational experience in investment management, and to allow students and alumni to develop their teamwork, communication, presentation, and analytical skills to gain superior knowledge in the investment management industry.

Vision:

Our vision is to build a top-tier investment management program for Walsh College that is nationally recognized, becomes the elite investment club in the state of Michigan, and produces top talent in the investment industry. WCIC aims to provide members advanced education and hands-on experience to build the skills necessary to obtain advanced positions in the investment management industry.

 

INVESTMENT CLUB REGULAR MEETINGS:

The club meets on the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Finance Lab. No reservation is required and the meetings last for about two hours.

STUDENT MANAGED FUND:

A student investment team from the club manages the Michigan Alpha Project (MAP). To learn more visit the MAP website.

BLOOMBERG ESSENTIALS TRAINING COURSE:

Learn how to use the Bloomberg Terminal software in the Finance Lab from a certified Lab Assistant. Build your resume by completing the Bloomberg Essentials (BESS) exam and network with other students and alumni.

Register now for the spring semester, space is limited and there is no cost to enroll. The course is held on Saturday for 5 weeks at the Troy campus, classes will begin on April 12. Two time slots are available: 10-12 or 12-2 pm.

Can't make the course on Saturday? A self-paced version is available.
