Featured Presenter: Richard D. Berschback MBA, CPA
Chair and Associate Professor
Mr. Berschback joined Walsh College in 1980, serving as Chairman of the Accounting Department from 1980 until 1995. He returned to the Chair position in May of 2005. Rick previously worked in the auditing departments of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young.
Prior teaching included courses at Macomb Community College, Henry Ford Community College, and the University of Detroit.
During the years of 1982 - 1983 Rick administrated the CPA Exam in Michigan and Maryland. He has also been the coordinator and key instructor in the Metro-Detroit CPA Review Course since 1984. Information of the review course can be obtained at http://www.detroitcpareview.com
Rick has spent the majority of his career at Walsh focusing on undergraduate and graduate students and their preparation for a career in accounting. Read more.

Director of the DM Program
Professor, Communications
Dr. Linda Hagan is the Director of the Doctor of Management in Executive Leadership program at Walsh College. She teaches doctoral and graduate courses in strategic and leadership communication and undergraduate courses in business communications. She earned a Ph.D. in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations and a cognate in Strategic Management at the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Hagan has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Mich., and a Master of Arts in journalism from the University of Arizona in Tucson. Dr. Sheila Ronis
Professor of Management
Director, MBA/ Master of Management Programs
Dr. Ronis is a Distinguished Fellow and Vision Working Group leader of the Congressionally mandated Project on National Security Reform (PNSR), which will prepare the replacement for the National Security Act of 1947. She is currently studying mechanisms to infuse foresight into the Executive Office of the President of the United States and has recently completed a Fulbright Specialist Program in Singapore that examined their national security risk management processes in the Prime Minister’s Office. Dr. Ronis is also President of The University Group, Inc., a management consulting firm and think tank specializing in strategic management, visioning, national security, and public policy. Nan Poulios is the director of the Information Assurance Center and a faculty member at Walsh College. Nan is a CISSP, CISM, PMP and holds an MA degree from Wayne State University. She is currently enrolled in a doctoral program at Nova Southeastern University. She has been a security consultant, instructor, standards specialist, corporate communications consultant, and project manager in information protection and security for large and small-scale computer networks for the last twenty years. Dr. Michael Levens is the chair of the BBA program and Associate Professor of Marketing at Walsh College. Dr. Levens’ first textbook, “Introduction to Marketing”, is in use at more than 80 colleges and universities in North America and in China. His second textbook, Principles of Marketing textbook, Marketing: Defined, Explained, Applied, is used by more than 100 colleges and universities across the world and now in its second edition. Dr. Levens is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has been named to the Fulbright Specialist Roster. Cheryl Carr is an outreach coordinator / advisor through the Walsh College Career Services office, which assists students and alumni. Cheryl is experienced with job search assistance, practice interviews, and general career consultation.
