Walsh Wine Gala Raises Over $100,000 for Student Scholarships!

On May 10th over 325 Walsh alumni and friends gathered at Andiamo's for the annual Wine Gala.  Over $100,000 was raised for the Walsh College General Scholarship Fund and the Student Hardship Fund. Guests enjoyed rare wine vintages from the private cellars of Trustee Van Conway and long-time Gala supporter Bob Cummings.  In addition, the event featured craft beer, a martini bar, and a strolling dinner.

What began as a small wine tasting event at the Novi campus in 2003, has grown to one of Walsh's largest fundraisers. Since that time the event has raised over $500,000 for scholarships.

"We have many loyal supporters of the Wine Gala that return each year and we are truly grateful to each of them. Their continued support ensures that we are able to continue awarding valuable scholarships to our students," said Audrey Olmstead, Chief Development Officer.  "We also would like to thank our corporate sponsors who help make this event a reality for us year after year."

For more information on the 2014 Wine Gala please contact Andrea Richards in the Development office at 248-823-1204.
