Mr. Wood joined Walsh College in 2005 as an Assistant Adjunct Professor specializing in Project Management. He has participated in assorted Walsh College Project Management Symposiums over the past several years concentrating in Risk Management. David has previously taught both graduate and undergraduate courses at Oakland University in Finance and Business Process, and Information Management at Macomb Community College.
After completing his bachelors in Business Administration at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis in 1979, David started his professional career with McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company as a programmer developing software for business applications. Since then, David has held many different positions with many different companies - big and small inclusive of Martin Marrietta in Denver, Colorado, Hughes Aircraft Company in El Segundo, California, and The Analytic Sciences Corporation in Reston, Virginia. He has over 30 years of combined IT and Business experience within both the Aerospace and Automotive industries.
David holds an MBA from Lindenwood University – Saint Charles, Missouri, and another master's in Information Data Management from Washington University – Saint Louis, Missouri. David also completed a PMI Project Management Professional certification in 2004, and a certification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) in 2007.
David has spent the majority of his career focusing on undergraduate and graduate students and their preparation for a career in Project Management.
