John Poswalk’s productive relationships with Walsh College faculty as clients led to his teaching opportunity in business communications in 2005.
Poswalk's adjunct teaching experience includes both classroom and online instruction. While teaching undergraduate business communications exclusively in the classroom at Walsh, he was promoted from adjunct instructor to adjunct assistant professor in 2007, then to clinical assistant professor in 2013.
Prior to working for Dow Jones / Wall Street Journal, Poswalk served as a senior manager in trade magazine publishing with profit / loss accountability for 10 years.
He has also taught composition and technical writing at Concordia University (Ann Arbor), Owens Community College (Toledo) and Schoolcraft College.
Additional professional credentials and business communications expertise include: marketing communications, operations management, CRM/marketing databases and consultative sales.
Poswalk received both Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Michigan in English Language & Literature.
