  • James Haling started his career in the Super Alloy business at Howmet Turbine Components Corp. producing Super Alloys for jet engine turbine blades as a manufacturing engineer. He then moved into the automotive industry, holding various positions at Ford Motor Company ranging from Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, Design Engineering Supervisor, to Production Superintendent.

    James received a master's in Engineering Management from WSU in 2002. With a desire to better understand the impact of finances on engineering, James returned to school to earn a master's in finance from Walsh College in 2005. He then moved on to positions within the Controller's Office while launching his teaching career by teaching finance classes at Davenport University. After the last ACH Plant (Subsidiary of Ford Motor Company) closed in 2104, he switched careers and became an lnvestment Advisor Representative. James obtained his Series 7 License and a Ml insurance license for Accident, Health, & Life and Variable Annuities.

    Outside of his career, James volunteered with the Plymouth United Way for 8 years. He and his family enjoy camping in upper Michigan and Salmon fishing on Lake Michigan. James is very active in his church in his hometown of Dearborn, which he has attended for over 50 years.
