Since its founding in 1922, Walsh College’s outstanding reputation continues to be based on its development of superior accounting graduates. Well-rounded, competent, and ethical professionals are in demand throughout the private and public sectors.
The Accounting faculty combine academic fundamentals with pragmatic and practical learning to provide students with a robust learning experience. The accounting faculty are involved with their students on a daily basis, providing advice that includes selecting specific courses and future academic endeavors, discussing career and internship options, and stressing the benefits of various professional certifications.
The investments made by faculty in Walsh students also enrich the student body beyond numbers: Walsh College’s Accounting and Tax Student Organization (ATSO) received three awards in 2014 for its volunteer initiatives supporting preparation of tax returns for low-income families, for service to others, and for its support of the accounting profession.
