Class of 2012
Denise Asker, LOXXV, will step into the position of executive director of Leadership Oakland effective April 13, 2015. She has more than 15 years of non-profit executive experience in the areas of business development, management, marketing, public relations, crisis communications, branding, strategic planning, and special events. She earned her Master of Management from Walsh College in 2012.
Class of 2004
Kelli Wisner-Frank is honored with the 2015 Trailblazer Award for CFO of the Year from CreditUnion Times. She is CFO of the $536 million Community Choice Credit Union, based in Farmington Hills, Mich. Her efforts to help CCCU grow and better serve its southeastern Michigan communities helped her earn the award. Kelli earned her Master of Business Administration from Walsh College in 2004.
Class of 2003
Paula Nelson will take on the position of president and chief executive officer for Sacred Heart. She previously served as vice president of client services and chief operating officer for Sacred Heart. Paula earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Walsh College in 2003.
Class of 2000
Steven LaChance has been named vice president of Engineering for GKN Driveline Americas. He was formerly global chief engineer of GKN’s General Motors business. Steven earned his Master of Business Administration from Walsh College in 2000.
Class of 1999
Karen Dech, CPA, has been named vice president of finance/chief financial officer of the Visiting Nurse Association and Blue Water Hospice. She previously served as controller at Catholic Social Services of St. Clair County. Karen earned her Bachelor of Accountancy from Walsh College in 1999.
JRT of Farmington Hills has announced the addition of Tracey Juliette, who has joined the creative marketing services firm as a client service executive. Prior to joining JRT, she worked in event planning and marketing within the high-performance segment of the automotive industry, serving in numerous roles. Tracey earned her Master of Science in Management from Walsh College in 1999.
Class of 1993
Phillip P. Putney, president of AFS Wealth Management and financial professional correspondence for WDIV Channel 4, has been named a 2015 Five Star Wealth Manager by Five Star Professional. The selection is the result of a rigorous research process that included a regulatory and consumer complaint review, and an evaluation of objective criteria associated with wealth managers who provide quality service to their clients. Phil earned his Master of Science in Taxation from Walsh College in 1993.
