Overview of Career Services for Students and Alumni

Prospective students working with Admissions & Advising can schedule an appointment with Career Services. 

Access to online databases of jobs.

You can make an appointment Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., or Friday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Career Services is located at the Troy location and appointments can be scheduled at the Troy, Novi, or UC locations, or conducted online. Call 248-823-1625.

Schedule an appointment 

Appointments can be scheduled for career advising, career planning and assessment, preparing a resume, job search techniques, mock interviews, and general career advice.  It is recommended that students make an initial appointment as early as possible upon enrollment at Walsh.  Evening and day appointments are available and may be made by contacting Career Services.

Campus Recruiting

  • Accounting students need to get started early. > View the Accounting Recruiting Timeline.
  • Employers interview students for professional positions and internships through on-campus recruiting events held during February and March for winter, and October and November for fall. We encourage you to meet with a Career Services advisor prior to participating. > More information and policies

Career Fairs, Special Events, and Workshops

  • Two annual career fairs are held in spring and fall.
  • Meet the Firms public accounting event is held each September.
  • Internship Connection is held each January.
  • ITCyberConnections networking event is held each January.
  • Networking events for employers and professional associations are held for students and alumni.
  • Periodic workshops on career-related topics are conducted.
